Net Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen experienced an amazing year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only participant to achieve closing game in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. He raked in a huge pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has made many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest players in the world. While wagering on online poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. He frequently plays in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen generally buys-in for the min of $16, 000 and plays very weak. He waits patiently for a good hand and then pushes all in. I know Hansen is an amazing poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is penniless, he has absolutely no reason to play at the game with the minimum buy in.

Playing for the minimum takes a majority of the expertise out of big stack poker. Hansen is assumed to be 1 of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the total amt.. I believe television can alter our view of the real world every now and then. The best players anywhere in the world could be guys you have won’t have heard of. Gus can be seen participating in web poker on Full Tilt. He generally plays in high stakes omaha eight-or-better and hold’em. Gus Hansen has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his abilities in money games?
